Rodrigo Herrera

Born in Mexico City, he begins to study the classical guitar at the “Universidad Veracruzana” under M° Cutberto Cordova and M° Mauricio Hernández. Afterwards he moves to Italy to continue his studies under M° Paolo Pegoraro at the “F. Tarrega” Academy in Pordenone and he graduates with flying colors at Conservatorio “A. Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto. Several have been the courses and masterclasses that perfected his musical education, among which those held by masters Oscar Ghiglia, Pavel Steild, Stefano Grondona e Carlo Marchione.

He’s regularly invited to offer seminars, masterclasses and conferences in various musical environments.

e performed in Italy, Mexico, Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Spain as a soloist and with Trio Nahual as well, the guitar ensemble with which he performs intensively, always receiving flattering feedbacks from the audiences and critics. With the Trio he received many awards, among which twelve first prizes in national and international guitar and chamber music competitions.
Currently he teaches at “Segovia Guitar Academy” in Pordenone and at “Istituto Giuseppe Verdi” in Brugnera.

He plays with a guitar built by luthier Marco Bortolozzo.
