Segovia Online Guitar Competition 2025<\/strong><\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text el_id=”switch-lang”]italiano<\/a> – english<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]The Segovia Guitar Academy is pleased to announce the first edition of the Segovia Online Guitar Competition, a contest aimed at discovering and promoting young professional artists through an international-level selection. The winner will have the opportunity to perform in a paid concert during the 2026 edition of the Segovia Guitar Week, a festival that annually hosts some of the most recognized performers worldwide.<\/p>\n

REGULATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Eligibility Requirements<\/strong>
\nGuitarists of any nationality born on or after January 1, 1995, are eligible to participate.<\/p>\n

2. Participation Guidelines<\/strong>
\nEach candidate must submit a one-take video recording of their performance by uploading it to their YouTube channel as a public video.
\nThe video must show the full figure of the candidate while performing.
\nIt is mandatory to include the official competition logo, which can be downloaded from the Segovia Guitar Academy website, clearly visible in the video (e.g., on a panel, music stand, or a poster in the background).
\nCandidates must include the video link in the registration form.<\/p>\n

Technical Requirements:<\/strong>
\nThe video must have sufficient audio quality to ensure an accurate assessment of the performance.
\nThe use of an external microphone or a device with good sound quality is recommended to capture the dynamics and timbral quality of the instrument.
\nThe video file must be recorded in a minimum resolution of 720p.<\/p>\n

3. Repertoire<\/strong>
\nThe performance must include a freely chosen repertoire lasting no less than 30 minutes and no more than 40 minutes, plus one study selected from Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Douze Etudes, choosing from the following: Nos. 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12.
\nAll pieces must be performed from memory.<\/p>\n

4. Registration Process
\n<\/strong>Candidates must register by completing the form available on the Segovia Guitar Academy website by October 18, 2025.
\nRegistration for the competition is free.
\nThe application must be sent to the email address info@segoviaguitaracademy.com with the following attached documents:<\/p>\n
