Segovia Online Guitar Competition 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””]The Segovia Online Guitar Competition<\/strong>, organized by the Segovia Guitar Academy<\/strong>, was created with the aim of supporting and promoting young classical guitar talents from around the world.
\nThe competition offers participants the opportunity to present their talent to an international jury and to the audience of the Segovia Guitar Week Festival<\/strong>, creating a bridge between the online dimension and the live concert experience.<\/p>\n

Regulations<\/strong>
\n1. Eligibility<\/strong>
\nThe competition is open to guitarists of all nationalities born on or after January 1, 1996.<\/p>\n

2. Participation Requirements<\/strong>
\nEach candidate must submit a single\u2011take video of their performance, uploaded to their personal YouTube channel as a public video.
\nThe video must clearly show the full body of the performer during the performance.
\nThe official competition logo, downloadable from the Segovia Guitar Academy website, must be clearly visible in the video (for example on a panel, music stand, or poster in the background).
\nThe video link must be included in the application form.<\/p>\n

Technical requirements:
\nThe video must be recorded with sufficient audio quality to allow proper evaluation of the performance.
\nThe use of an external microphone or a device with good sound capture is recommended in order to reproduce the instrument\u2019s dynamics and tone quality.
\nThe video must be recorded with a minimum resolution of 720p.<\/p>\n

3. Repertoire<\/strong>
\nThe performance must include a free\u2011choice program lasting no less than 30 minutes and no more than 40 minutes, plus one study from the Douze \u00c9tudes by Heitor Villa\u2011Lobos, chosen among the following: Nos. 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12.
\nAll repertoire must be performed from memory.<\/p>\n

4. Application Procedure<\/strong>
\nCandidates must apply by completing the form available on the Segovia Guitar Academy website by October 18, 2026.
\nParticipation in the competition is free of charge.<\/p>\n

Applications must be sent to info@segoviaguitaracademy.com including the following documents:
\n– valid identification document
\n– two high\u2011resolution photos
\n– artistic curriculum vitae
\n– program to be performed<\/p>\n

Personal data will be processed in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree n.196\/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree n.101\/2018 in compliance with EU Regulation 679\/2016 (GDPR), and Royal Decree n. 633\/1941.<\/p>\n

5. Prize<\/strong>
\nThe winner will perform a paid concert (guaranteed fee of 700 Euros net + hospitality) during the 2027 edition of the Segovia Guitar Week.
\nThe winner will be announced on November 21, 2026, during the opening of one of the festival concerts. The name will also be published on the association\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

6. Jury<\/strong>
\nThe jury, composed of the festival\u2019s artistic committee, will evaluate candidates according to:
\n– artistic proposal
\n– interpretation and musicality
\n– technical execution
\n– overall quality of the performance<\/p>\n

The jury\u2019s decision will be final.<\/p>\n

7. Acceptance of the Regulations<\/strong>
\nSubmitting the application implies full and unconditional acceptance of all the rules stated in these regulations. Winner of the First Edition<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tohi Harada<\/strong><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner offset=”vc_col-lg-4 vc_col-md-4″][vc_single_image image=”84296″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner offset=”vc_col-lg-8 vc_col-md-8″][vc_column_text css=””]Japanese guitarist Tohi Harada is the winner of the first edition of the Segovia Online Guitar Competition.
\nHe began playing the guitar at the age of three and won numerous youth competitions in Japan. He is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London on scholarship under the guidance of Professor Michael Lewin.
\nIn 2019 he won First Prize at the East End International Guitar Competition, which led to the release of his debut album \u201cTo\u2011i\u201d in 2020, awarded the Recording Prize.
\nIn recent years he has received several international awards, including Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the Aalborg International Guitar Competition (2022), and first prizes at major competitions between 2023 and 2024 such as the Albania International Guitar Competition, Veria International Guitar Competition, Ida Presti International Guitar Competition, Guitar Art International Competition, and the Brussels International Guitar Competition.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
