The Segovia Guitar Academy Association was founded by a group of passionate teachers and student’s parents, with the aim of promoting musical and cultural activities through conferences, performances, concerts, reviews and festivals.
The association’s team, with decades of experience organizing guitar-related events, launched the first Guitar Festival in 1995, initially in collaboration with another Pordenone institution. Since then, this annual event has become a must-see for the local music scene, bringing some of the internationally most known names of the guitar world to Pordenone.
Over the years, the festival has gradually expanded, including not only concerts by world-renowned artists, but also spaces dedicated to young talents, guitar-makers exhibitions, masterclasses, seminars, and workshops. This development has involved local, national, and international organizations, helping to establish the festival as a high-level event, renowned for its quality and its network of collaborations with musical institutions throughout Europe and the world.
In 2015, the festival took the name Segovia Guitar Week, and in 2017, the artistic staff, supported by some parents, officially founded the Segovia Guitar Academy APS Association, further consolidating their commitment to promoting the guitar and musical culture.
